March was a very busy month! I was in San Antonio for a conference the first week, in Philadelphia for a conference last weekend, and we went to Durham for my Mom’s 70th birthday in the middle. We drove this time, renting a van and making the two-day trek across the eastern half of the country. It was a good time overall, but definitely a long drive.
Here are some pictures of the family event. It was great to have the whole family there – all four siblings, spouses, and 12 grandchildren! It made for a loud, fun, and intense three days.
The full photostream is on Flickr, but some selected photos are below.
Tim, Kate and baby Isa
Lots of playing in the backyard, with cousin Ben being the center of the fun.
Bill and Cathy, enjoying watching the outside fun.
Maggie and Evelyn. Evelyn sort of wondered what this “outside” thing was.
More outside fun in wonderful 70 degree weather.
Ilyana being carried by Ava while Micah looks on. (She managed to be carried by someone most of the weekend!)
A brief view of dinnertime, with everyone in the dining room.
Isa trying to decide if he can eat Evelyn’s hand (he eventually did, and she didn’t mind).
My personal favorite of the two babies.
Again, the other pictures are here.
