We’re having lots of busyness around the house here. Evelyn wants to grab the world with both hands and take control of it, but she’ll settle for grabbing whatever she can reach! She has quite the strong grip (it’s a miracle I have any hair left on the sides of my head). Her current favorite move is to roll on her side when you are changing her and grab whatever part of your clothing she can reach. Her other tendency is to go after our phones/computers/anything shiny and back-lit. At the moment, I just kept her from doing a header on the floor because she wants the computer…
She’s also getting very talkative.
And she has started recreational foot grabbing.
Ilyana is finishing her last week at her current school, and will be starting the district Montessori in the fall. We hope she’s in some summer school as well, but we haven’t been notified yet.
She is very excited tonight, because she got to do a “big girl” thing with me. Since she didn’t bite her nails for a week, she got to have painted toenails and fingernails. She is very, very excited about the sparkly purple.
So, Spring semester is apparently a little busy around here. Couple that with a late Easter, and I haven’t gotten much of a break until now. But, we have been busy.
We had great fun with Grandma Laurel and Grandpa Jerry over Easter, which was a nice three day weekend.
Evelyn had a great time too, and did well in a new (to her) house.
And a naked baby picture, because I can.
Over Mother’s Day, we re-did the kitchen. The countertops were done by a contractor, but we did all the paint. We went from this:
And finally this:
We’re pretty happy! Next job is the upstairs bathroom, which is orange, and will soon be brown and have a new counter from Menards.
And one more cute kid pic!
