Many faces of Evelyn

Here’s a short vid of Evelyn. Sorry it’s a bit blurry – still figuring out the video camera.

Thankgiving Visit

 - by Gretel

Instead of our usual trek to Oconomowoc this year, Grandma and Grandpa came to us for the Thanksgiving holiday.  We are very grateful they took on driving for this year, since Evelyn is only a couple  weeks old.

Our dinner was a little nontraditional as well: we had beef tenderloin with cranberry and red wine sauce, rice pilaf, salad, and dinner rolls.  We had apple pie, brownies, and pear fragipane for dessert.  We’re all in agreement that we may never cook turkey for thanksgiving again – the beef was wonderful, and much simpler to cook!

Of course we had the opportunity for some great pictures as well :).

A good meal and great company.  Much to be thankful for.

First Tub Bath

 - by Gretel

Well, much like her sister, Evelyn did not really like baths. In fact, the concept of being naked, warm and wet apparently lost its appeal in the womb, since she not only protested mightily (except when getting her hair washed), she also peed all over Mommy. She had a momentary reprieve wrapped in the towel, and then cried her loudest ever when getting her diaper and clothing back on.

And, of course, we have pictures.
First Bath

This is not my idea of fun Mommy…

First Bath

No, really, not fun at all.

My sister didn’t really like it either, just in case you forgot.

First Bath

I’m going to lodge a protest.

First Bath

Just as soon as I find my nook again.
